Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Mumbai again on February 10. Owing to this, the Mumbai Police began preparing for the security arrangements in the city from Monday, February 6.

It is pertinent to note that this will be PM Modi's second visit to Mumbai in recent weeks. Earlier, he came to the city on January 19 and inaugurated the phase of Metro Line 2A and 7.

Days ahead of PM Modi’s arrival, the Mumbai Police has announced a banned drones and flying activities near the airport and several other areas in the city.

The orders have been passed by the commissioner of Greater Mumbai under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The order said during PM Modi's visit to Mumbai on Friday, February 10, there is every possibility of breach of peace and disturbance of law and order.

In the preventive order, the police said, “Due to the situation prevailing in the areas under control of the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, it is apprehended that during the Prime Minister of India Mumbai visit on 10/02/2023 at Mumbai Airport (Sahar), Colaba (INS SHIKRA), CSMT, MIDC and Marol, in Andheri, terrorist/anti-social elements may attack using drone, para-gliders, remote control microlight aircraft.”

The above activities will not be allowed from February 9 midnight to February 10 midnight.

PM Modi is likely to visit Andheri East in Mumbai for an opening of the Dawoodi Bohra community’s Arabic Academy, the Dawoodi Bohras official twitter handle said.

PM Modi is expected to share the dais with His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin during the opening ceremony.

PM Modi will be inaugurating the Vande Bharat Express trains on the Mumbai-Solapur and Mumbai-Shirdi routes on February 10. While the Vande Bharat Express between Mumbai and Solapur is expected to cover a distance of around 455 km in 6.35 hours, the one running between Mumbai and Shirdi will cover 340 km in 5.25 hours.
