In recent developments, the tourism wing of Indian Railways, IRCTC Tourism, is offering a tour package of five nights and six days to Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahalgam from Mumbai.

Kashmir happens to be the northernmost geographical region of the Indian subcontinent which is covered in snow-capped mountains and magnificent lakes.

According to reports, the cost of the tour package has been kept at a starting price of INR 27,300. Moreover, the tour provided by IRCTC or Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation from Mumbai will commence on September 25-26. Moreover, travellers will be flown to Srinagar from Mumbai on an Indigo flight from Mumbai to Srinagar.

 On the other hand, back in December 2020, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal asserted that the online ticket booking site of the Indian Railways, IRCTC, has got an upgrade that will permit passengers to book tickets without any inconveniences.

The Railway Minister had earlier reviewed the upgrade that was being worked for the e-ticketing system. The Minister sought for the e-ticketing website to provide holistic convenience to the passengers for their train journey due to which the railways worked tirelessly to enhance user personalization and facilitation of their e-ticketing website, along with enhanced features and simple design.
