After Jet Airways suspended its operations, it has left nearly 22,400 of its employees without work. This happened after the airline went under debt worth ₹8,000 crore. However, until now, nothing has been done to curb the problems of the employees.

Jet Airways employees on Tuesday met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at his residence 'Matoshree' in Bandra, Mumbai. Thackeray assured the employees that something will be done in this regard while discussing their problems.

In order to deal with the problems being faced by Jet Airways and its employees, the Bharatiya Kamgar Sena (BKS) had carried out a protest demanding alternatives to curb this issue. BKS President Suryakant Mahadik met the Shiv Sena chief requesting to solve the problem of the employees.

Reacting to this, Thackeray said that the bread and butter of the employees should not be compromised. “After the new government takes the oath, we will resolve the issue by talking to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister,” Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray further said.
