We'd be happy to help - our Social outlet in Colaba is located a short walk from Gateway, and protestors are welcome to come in and use the facilities through the day. They can also help themselves to drinking water or refill their water bottles from water coolers we're going to keep outside the outlet.

Notably, students from the Indian Institute of Technology IIT-Bombay, Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) and members of students' organisations participated in the protest and raised slogans against PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. In a recent press conference, CM Uddhav Thackeray assured Mumbaikars that he will ensure that the violence that happened in JNU will not happen in Maharashtra.

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences Teachers Association (TISSTA) has condemned the attack on students and teachers at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday. In a statement on Monday, it expressed solidarity with the Teachers’ Association and Students Union of the JNU and demanded an impartial inquiry into the attack.

Currently, the protestors have been asked to shift to Azad Maidan.
