As per reports, a cylinder blast on Sunday, December 6, at Lalbaug area in Mumbai has left at least 16 people injured.

According to sources, the accident took place on the second floor of Sarabhai building at Ganesh Galli. Moreover, Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has informed that two fire tenders and two tankers are present in the spot as of now. However,12 people have been admitted to King Edward Hospital whereas four have been taken to Global hospital in Mumbai.

In recent developments, the blaze was confined to the cylinder, electric wiring, electric installation, clothes, household articles, etc. in room number 15, 16, 17, 17A, and the common passage on the second floor, as per reports. However, the common wall between room number 16 and 17 along with the window of room no.17A has collapsed. Moreover, the services of HPCL personnel was requested. In addition, the FS Ward compliance team has been asked to visit the said premises as bulk food preparation is carried out.

Update: Two people lost their lives and 14 were injured in this incident.
