This year, Mumbai’s most popular Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal has set up a four-foot idol at the pandal instead of the regular 14-feet one.
In keeping with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) guidelines, which bans devotees from allowing inside a pandal, arrangements have been made to provide 24/7 online darshan from 11 am today, September 10, day 1 of the 10-day festival.
We have not performed any first look.

Last year, due to the outbreak of coronavirus, in 2020, the organisers of Lalbaugcha Raja had decided they would rather not have a Ganpati idol than setting up one that is only four feet tall. They instead decided to spread awareness about coronavirus.
That was the first time in the history of the famous Ganpati pandal that there was no idol.
