Heavy rains triggered a landslide at Irshalwadi (Irshalgad) in Raigad district on Wednesday night. It is believed that more than 100 people are trapped and so far 22 people have been rescued.
There is a tribal wadi in the upper reaches of the Morbe Dam in the hilly area, 6 km from Chowk village. It is being said that due to the landslide 90 percent of the valley has been covered in debris.

Chief Minister has expressed grief about the tragedy that occurred due to the collapse of Irshalwadi settlement. He said that the families of the deceased in this accident will be given an aid of five lakhs and the government will bear the cost of treatment of the injured.

The landslide incident took place between 10:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Meanwhile, a large population of 50 to 60 tribal houses used to live in this wadi. According to the information received by the media, 30 to 40 people of this village are trapped in this crack.
Meanwhile, due to continuous rains and incidents of landslides, problems are arising in the relief work here. According to the information received, 22 people have been rescued. Rescue work has started after the information about the landslide incident. Four ambulances have reached the spot.
