On Monday, December 13, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation stated that there would be a low water supply in Bandra on Wednesday and Thursday, December 15 and 16, highlighted reports.

According to accounts, an official has attributed this to the work of capping and discarding the Tansa East water main for the section under the Western Railway bridge at Mahim Creek. This is slated to be conducted between 10 am on Wednesday (15 Dec) to 10 pm on Thursday (16 Dec). Owing to this, the water pressure will be low, added the official.

The Ward HW BMC took to Twitter to further elucidate that the repair work will be conducted in Bandra West, Khar West and Santacruz West. Therefore, there will be a low water supply in these areas, remarked the Assistant Engineer Water Works (HP).

The civic authority urged the citizens to cooperate with them and store water since the supply will be hit in the entire H West Ward with low pressure. The work of capping Tansa East water main at Mahim creek will affect the water supply therefore the civic body has requested the citizens to use water sparingly.
