There is a Diwali bonanza for state government employees. The Maharashtra government announced that it will pay the salary for the month of October before Diwali.
The announcement comes after the employees' union had demanded that the salary for the month of October must be paid in advance to the state government employees to ensure the employees don't face financial troubles during the festival.

After which, the government issued a circular which asked the concerned authorities to provide the employees' salary before Diwali. However, the Treasury Department said that it wouldn't be possible as they were busy with other employment-related work.
Owing to this, the employees expressed their disappointment which resulted in a meeting of top government officials who then asked the Treasury Department keep the employment work aside and focus on paying the employees their salaries before Diwali.
All things now seem to be sorted and employees will receive their salaries by October 25.
