Maharashtra Governor releases comic book on Youth Voter Awareness

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais released the Comic book 'Me The Superhero Indian Citizen' prepared to create awareness among the youth voters about election process and democracy at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Monday, September 11. 


The book has been prepared by an organisation 'Aagam' at the instance of the Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra.


Voting should first be seen as a celebration of democracy. The principle of 'voting first, work later' should be followed by everyone in a democracy. Public awareness work regarding voting is going well in Maharashtra. Governor Ramesh Bais appealed that the state should create an ideal model for the country in terms of voter awareness by reaching out to every voter with the help of multimedia.

Appreciating the work of 'Agam' organisation, the Governor said that books and materials for voter awareness should be in local language.


Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra Shrikant Deshpande, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Manohar Parkar, Founder of 'Aagam' and author of the book Bharati Dasgupta, Anuradha Sengupta and officials of Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra and 'Aagam' were present.
