Director General of Police Rajnish Seth has been appointed as the Chairman of Maharashtra Public Service Commission. The state government has given orders in this regard recently. After the term of State Lok Sabha Commission Chairman Kishoreraje Nimbalkar ends on September 19, all eyes are on who will be appointed to the commission. The process of selection of a new president was also implemented.

The leaders of Mahayuti have agreed on the appointment of Director General of Police Rajnish Seth and accordingly the process of appointment of Seth has started. Seth was to retire from the All India Police Service in December as per the prescribed age limit. But they will join the new post with VRS. If Seth is elected as the Chairman of the Public Service Commission, the discussion starts on who will be appointed as the Director General of Police.


1988 batch IPS officer Rashmi Shukla, has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) in Maharashtra. As Seth vacated the post, Rashmi Shukla was appointed to head the state police force.
