On April 20 at 7:00 am there was a fire in a chemical company located in Dombivli's MIDC. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

As soon as the news broke out, 8 fire brigade vehicles rushed to the place. It took 2 hours for the fire brigade to get the situation in control. However, there were no casualties reported. The chemical factory was in Manpada and the incident is therefore reported at Manpada police station. Notably, the surrounding area has been engulfed by thick black smoke.
