Mayor reaches late for meeting, annoys corporators

Mumbai – Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar, in the first meeting of newly elected corporators, had assured the corporators to start the proceedings of the House on time. But he himself reached late nearly by one-and-a-half hour in the second meeting. As the mayor who has the habit of teaching students in classrooms, the corporators started creating chaos in the House.

The newly elected Mayor had started the first meeting of the House on time at 11 am sharp. He had surprised corporators by initiating House proceedings on time. But the second meeting which was convened at 12 pm started at 1:10 pm on Saturday. The Mayor announced the names of members appointed on different civic bodies such as health, market, garden, law, women and child welfare committees etc. He adjourned the House after directing the administration to give written information on the issue of civic body’s fixed deposits.

The corporators were annoyed as the proceeding was started late and completed in half an hour. They hoped that the next meeting of the house would be started on time and the mayor would be punctual hereafter.
