According to officials, the deadline for application submission and payment of the earnest money deposit has been extended by 15 days, giving prospective buyers additional time to complete the process. A revised schedule is expected to be announced shortly.
Due to this extension, the lottery draw, which was initially planned for May, is now likely to be held in June.
The lottery offers around 2,640 housing units across Mumbai. However, authorities noted that participation has been lower than anticipated, largely due to the high prices of several flats, which appear to have discouraged buyers.
While a significant number of applicants registered, only a smaller portion completed the process by paying the deposit, reflecting a gap between interest and actual applications.
Officials also pointed out that costly flats from previous lotteries remain unsold, with some units priced between INR 1 crore and INR 8 crore, further impacting demand.
A detailed revised timetable, including the final draw date, will be released soon, officials said.
