The Mumbai University declared results of Arts and Commerce stream on 1 April, yet students have not got their results. They were kept ready but due to typos in degrees, lakhs of results have gone down the drain.
In 2011, University had formed a committee which comprises Nigvekar, Kakotkar and Takwale. This committee then drafted Maharashtra Public University Act. This act got in implementation from 1st March 2017, after which many posts were changed and some were abolished. Director’s post has also been increased. As per the 1994 act, the result had Control of Examination’s signature but post 1 March, this post was changed to Director of Examination. And the results which came out had Control of Examination name because of which they were discarded.
Meanwhile, Varsity’s registrar M A Khan said that the changes will be made in the result and soon students will get their results.
