Tata.EV, India's largest four-wheeler EV manufacturer and a pioneer in the EV revolution in India, took a significant step towards improving the charging experience of the EV community by inaugurating its Tata.EV Megacharger on the Pune-Nashik highway.
This development is in line with the company's initiative announced in February 2025 to double the current charging infrastructure in India to 400,000 charging points by 2027 under the Open Collaboration 2.0 framework.
Mumbai–Ahmedabad Highway
Three chargers at Vadodara (Shreenath Food Hub), Vapi (Shanti Complex), and Ghodbunder (Hotel Xpress Inn) provide high-speed charging facilities. Notably, the Vadodara station features a flagship 400kW charger that can charge up to six vehicles simultaneously and deliver 150km of range in just 15 minutes.
Aakash Misal House on the Pune-Nashik highway is an important and notable charging station for EV commuters on this busy route. Located 60 km from Pune and 160 km from Nashik, this Tata.EV Megacharger operated by Charge Zone provides a convenient and reliable stop for electric vehicles in need of quick charging.
With a charging capacity of 120 kW and 4 dedicated parking bays, the station ensures efficient service and can accommodate multiple vehicles without much waiting. Aakash Misal House is known for its delicious misal pav and serene ambiance. Therefore, it is the perfect place to recharge your car and yourself. Along with fast charging, passengers can also avail the facilities of toilets and comfortable seating.
To address the concerns of EV owners regarding chargers in sight, fast charging speeds and reliability, Tata.EV has partnered with ChargeZone to build a co-branded Tata.EV Megacharger network of high-speed, reliable charging stations across the country. These Tata.EV Megachargers will be available to all EVs, but Tata EV users will get some special benefits, such as priority access to charging points and up to 25% discount on charging rates.
