A water main burst near Seepz Gate No. 3 and Indian Oil Petrol Pump at Andheri East on Thursday night due to ongoing excavation work for the Mumbai Metro project. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken up the repair work on a war footing. Due to this, there was low pressure water supply in the Bandra-Jogeshwari area on Friday morning. As a result, citizens suffered.

One of the two inlets of 1800 m of diameter of Veravali reservoir, the main inlet was hit and started leaking on Thursday, November 30, 2024, near Seepz Gate No. 3 and Indian Oil Petrol Pump at Andheri East. The repair work of water channel repair has been taken up immediately and it is going on war footing.


Due to this, on the morning of Friday, December 1, there was low water pressure at Santacruz East in H East (Vakola, Prabhat Colony etc.), Santacruz West in H West, Khar West, Bandra West and Andheri West in K West (Char Bangla, Juhu Koliwada, SV Road etc.). Meanwhile, the BMC has appealed to the citizens to use water sparingly and cooperate with the administration.
