Amid lockdown-like restrictions, Mumbai police have been spreading awareness by taking down the streets. Now, the Mumbai police on its social media page have reiterated that wearing a mask outdoors is absolutely necessary.

Mumbai Police sets a new benchmark every time they spread awareness on important issues. Be it their version of the Don't Rush Challenge or talking about face masks using 'Indiranagar's Gunda' Rahul Dravid, their creativity needs to be appreciated.

Stressing the importance of wearing face masks amid rising coronavirus cases, it has compared “mother” and “masks”, hinting that during such tough times they both would protect you and how important they are for one's lives.

On Twitter, they captioned the post, "What do moms and masks have in common?"

Meanwhile, a few days ago, they took us back to the story of Disney's Cinderella. We all remember how she had accidentally left her shoe after the dance ball.

Mumbai Police added a twist to this and used the moment to stress the importance of wearing face masks. Their message is that leaving a shoe is acceptable, but it would be a huge sin to leave one's face mask behind. They also used a witty hashtag with the post - 'Don't Be Sinderella'. It gives out a strong message to not sin by wearing a face mask.

On the other hand, the Mumbai Police has appealed to the citizens to refrain from spitting in public as it causes other diseases too, including COVID-19 infections. Hence, those found violating this rule will have to pay a fine and strict action will be taken against them. The city police further urged everyone to be aware and be responsible.
