Mumbai: Price Of CNG, Piped Cooking Gas To Increase, Check Rates Here

The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will be increased by INR 2 per kg comprising taxes from Saturday, December 18 morning. Similarly, the price of piped cooking gas will rise by INR 1.50 per unit.

The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will be increased by INR 2 per kg comprising taxes from Saturday, December 18 morning. Similarly, the price of piped cooking gas will rise by INR 1.50 per unit, stated reports.

The revised price of CNG will now be INR 63.50 per kg. Piped gas’s revised rate, on the other hand, will be INR 38 per unit.

The CNG price, this year, in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, has been increased by nearly INR 16 in 11 months. This by many reports is believed to be a considerable burden for more than 8 lakh customers. This entails more than 3 lakh, private car users, apart from those in autos, buses and taxes, reported the Times of India.

Moreover, this hike is claimed to be the fourth in the last three months. The Kaali Peeli taxis and auto unions are now asking for an increase of INR 5 and INR 2 respectively. This they want in their minimum fares after the increase of CNG prices per kg by INR 16 in 2021.

Back on November 27, the CNG price was increased by INR 3.06 per kg and was available at the rate of INR 61.50 per kg. While the PNG rates were increased by INR 2.26/Standard Cubic Meter (SCM) and were being sold at INR 36.50/SCM.
