Mumbai rainfall every year takes away lives of some people. This time, yet again, after a downpour on Tuesday, a 32-year-old woman and a teenage girl have been reported dead in Thane.
As per the civic officials from the Disaster Management Cell, Thane, the woman, Sainath Shaikh, is said to have fallen and drowned into a 'nullah' which was filled with rainwater. Sainath was a housewife residing in Kalwa's Shanti Nagar.
Another incident has been reported where a 14-year-old, Gauri Jailwar, has been reported dead by falling and drowning near a mall.
Further, as per the official reports, two women are also injured due to the compound wall collapsing on the houses in the Manpada locality.
