Power cut is scheduled between Vile Parle West to Charkop, on June 24. The area will be without lights for at least two hours from 3:00 am to 5:00 am. The power cut is said to be happening due to the ongoing work of Metro-7.

Talking to Mumbai Live, the operator of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) Dilip Kawathkar said that the work is at Dahisar to D N Nagar, to put up a U-girder between Thakur complex and Western Express Highway in Kandivali. Keeping the safety of people in mind, electricity will be cut from Vile Parle to Charkop.

This power cut will be effective at Vile Parle (W), Juhu, Andheri, Versova-Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali and Charkop.

Earlier, during March, the electric service was disrupted for two hours due to high voltage wires in these areas. Kawathkar said that the people had earlier given support and hopefully they will also provide support this time.
