The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has informed that there are 524 dangerous buildings in the NMMC area this year. Among them, 61 buildings have been declared unfit for habitation. Last year, the NMMC had announced a list of 514 dangerous buildings in the city. This year, this number seems to have increased.

It is seen that redevelopment work has started on some buildings which were very dangerous last year. Citizens are living in extremely dangerous buildings, and as there is a possibility that the lives of the citizens will be threatened due to the collapse of the building, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has announced the immediate evacuation of these buildings.

The NMMC has announced a list of 61 extremely dangerous buildings that are uninhabitable. As the citizens did not evacuate the buildings even after announcing the list, through the Nerul Division Office of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the citizens have been instructed to evacuate the building within 48 hours. Otherwise, it has been said that the electricity, water and gas supply in the buildings will be cut off.

Thus a total of 524 dangerous buildings have been declared.

It has started raining in the city and incidents of plaster falling off the roofs of houses have started. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the incident. But now it seems that the municipal corporation has become cautious about the dangerous building.
