Thane: Residents complain of smelly water in Naupada, Kopri, Louiswadi

In Naupada, Kopri, Gandhinagar, Hazuri, Louiswadi areas of Thane Municipal Corporation, there have been complaints that the water is smelling in some places and the water is getting muddy. Water is supplied to this area from the water channel of Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

According to the notification given by the Water Department of Mumbai Municipal Corporation, due to excessive rainfall in the dam area that supplies water to the city, muddy water is coming from the dam into the water channel. Also, the water has a smell. This water is purified from the Pise-Panjrapur water treatment plant. Still, the Thane Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens to filter and boil the water and drink it.
