Day by day, tooth related problems are increasing as a result of which, people go to private hospitals. But not all can afford to visit private dental clinics due to its high cost, hence, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) should make dental clinics available in 16 civic hospitals, according to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator Dr Saeeda Khan.
There are dental clinics in civic hospitals but they do not provide services like root canaling and placing a set of fake teeth. For the same, people have to go to Nair Hospital Dental college which is also not feasible for all, owing to its locality.
Students who pass out from dental colleges should treat patients and should visit other civic hospital dental clinics,” Dr Saeeda Khan, Corproator, NCP.
