New plan for the development of Mumbai has been handed over to the newly appointed corporators.

This project has to be handed over to the State Government within two months in the hall of accepting the proposal. The state government has given a time until 20 March for acceptance of BMC, due to which the newly appointed corporators get only12 days to study the structure and amend if needed. If the structure is not given acceptance of BMC then they have to go by law procedures. After preparing the report of the structure of the 2014-34 development framework of Mumbai, suggestions from the public were taken.

In order to have a close study of these suggestions, the government had set up a 6-member Planning Committee. The committee has handed over the final report to Mayor Snehal Ambekar. The reports of the structure are to be handed over to state government by 31 January by now the time is extended to 15 January 2017 but again BMC has asked state government to extend the time and finally, the extension is given until 20 March.
