Keeping the goal of clean water, clean mind, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) and Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organised a cleanliness campaign on Sunday. Under that, more than 400 Nirankari followers cleaned the lake area at Kachrali Lake in Thane. Members of all ages participated enthusiastically in this activity from young to old. The Solid waste department of Thane Municipal Corporation assisted in this campaign.
Swachhta Abhiyan was organised simultaneously in more than 1000 places across the country and in 27 states. About one and a half lakh volunteers of Sant Nirankari Mission participated in this innovative activity.
Along with Kachrali Lake in Thane city, this cleanliness campaign was implemented in Railadevi Lake, Agasan and Ganesh Nagar Lakes in Diva, Heart Lake Lake in Ovala and New Shivaji Nagar Lake in Kalwa. MLA Sanjay Kelkar, MLA Niranjan Davkhare, Madhya Pradesh District Collector Navjivan Pawar, Chief Minister Mangesh Chivte, Chief Minister's Medical Aid Unit, Thane Municipal Corporation officials etc. visited to see the work of cleanliness campaign in Kacharli.
