After the Gokhale bridge incident in Andheri on July 3, 2018, a team from IIT-Bombay had inspected 299 bridges and submitted their report to the BMC. Notably, BMC has also erected height barriers to prevent the entry of heavy vehicles over Mithi river bridge on Aarey Road in Bhandup
