Attention! No Water supply to some parts of Thane on Friday

In Thane Municipal Corporation area, water is supplied through Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation in Mumbra, Diva, Kalwa, Majiwada Manpada and Wagle (some areas) Ward Committee.

Considering the current storage capacity of Barvi Dam of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation and as per the instructions given by the Irrigation Department for water planning, there will be no water supply from Friday, June 2, 12.00 PM to June 3, 12.00 noon for 24 hours. During the said period Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation has taken up the urgent work of commissioning the newly laid Barvi gravity channels under the Water Supply Scheme.

During the said shutdown period, there will be no water supply in all areas under Thane Municipal Corporation, Diva, Mumbra (except part of Ward No. 26 and 31) and Kalwa Ward Samiti, Rupadevi Pada, Kisan Nagar No. 2 in Wagle Ward Samiti, Nehrunagar and Kolshet Khalcha village under Manpada Ward Committee for 24 hours. 

Citizens should please note that water supply will be at low pressure for the next 1 to 2 days after the water supply starts. Through the Thane Municipal Corporation, the citizens have been requested to cooperate with the Thane Municipal Corporation by using water sparingly during the said water reduction period.
