Based on the data released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday, February 9, there is only one active sealed building in Mumbai.

According to the COVID-19 dashboard of the civic authority, as of Tuesday, February 8, the one active sealed building is in the M/E ward which includes the Govandi area. On the other hand, there are zero active containment zones in the city.

Moreover, there are 441 COVID-19 patients in the island city. Of these positive patients, 85 per cent which is 376 patients are asymptomatic. Additionally, 65 patients were hospitalized of which 24 needed oxygen support.

Of the 36,991 total available beds, 1,268 are occupied which is 3.4 per cent. Apart from this, 1,115 patients recovered from coronavirus and were subsequently discharged. With these updates, there are a total of 4,096 active patients in the greater Mumbai region.

In accordance with the data released by the civic body, nine fatalities were also reported owing to the novel virus. Of these, eight had comorbidities and were over the age of 60. Similarly, six were male and three were female.

The recovery rate of the city now stands at 98 per cent, furthermore, the overall growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai is 0.08 per cent. At the same time, the doubling rate stands at 840 days.
