One Rupee Clinics kicked off three months ago to provide cost-effective and golden hour treatment to accident victims free of cost have fallen prey to infighting among railway officials. Due to which, the founder, Rahul Ghule of One Rupee Clinic has decided to shut down the clinics across eight stations including Dadar and Ghatkopar.

The interference from Central Railways and politicos was affecting the clinics. I will open these clinics in slum areas than railways. We have written a letter to CR Mumbai divisional railway manager conveying that we will be shutting down One Rupee clinics in the next three days," Dr. Rahul Ghule, Founder.

Due to the ongoing brawl between railway officials and Rahul Ghule, in May, the Dadar clinic was partly demolished. Ghule added that they are terminating the clinic because the Railways are not giving permission to set up clinics within a station’s premises and said that he had invested INR 50 lakhs and wanted it to be an Emergency Medical Response (EMR) center.
