Mumbai Police have made special security arrangements across the city to ensure peaceful celebrations and maintain law and order.

Over 14,000 police personnel, including specialised unit members, will be deployed across Mumbai on 79th Independence Day, which will be celebrated on August 15 with grandeur and enthusiasm.

The deployment includes 11,682 police constables and 2,529 officers, with security operations being closely monitored by 39 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 17 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), and seven Additional Commissioners of Police.

The deployment will be supported by Force One, SRPF platoons, Quick Response Teams, Riot Control Squads, Delta and Combat Teams, as well as Home Guards, strategically stationed at key locations across Mumbai.

The Mumbai Police have urged all citizens to remain calm and cooperate with police in crowded areas, report any suspicious or unattended items immediately, celebrate the festivals and Independence Day responsibly and call police helpline 100 or 112 in case of emergencies.
