As VIPs to noted personalities visit Mumbai’s popular Malabar Hill area every now and then, it is causing inconvenience to the residents with regards to parking. Residents have alleged that they have to face noise pollution as well. Considering the issue, School Education Minister and Mumbai District Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar has directed the Transport Department to take measures to solve the problem and give relief to the residents.


Minister Deepak Kesarkar said that the problems of senior citizens, hawkers, water supply, cleaning of toilets and sewage, food supply etc. are pending for many years in D Ward of BMC and will be resolved immediately. He ordered the concerned officers to solve the problems of the residents immediately.

Minister Deepak Kesarkar on Thursday interacted with the citizens of D ward of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation through 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' programme. On this occasion, local people's representatives, collector's office, senior officials of all concerned government departments, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, police department etc. were present. During this, the local people expressed their problems.


Deepak Kesarkar said that the problems of senior citizens will be resolved on priority basis. There is a plan to open a daycare centre for them and separate buses will be arranged to take them.
