Amid the strong winds and heavy rainfall in and around Mumbai, two people were killed and one was injured on Tuesday after a house wall collapsed due to a landslide in Kalwa, Thane district. After the incident, 19 others were safely rescued. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital and are undergoing treatment.

The deceased were identified as the homeowner (Birendra Gautam) and his son (Sunny Gautam). Both of them were rushed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa but were declared dead on arrival. An official from Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) informed that a 35-year-old woman from the same family is undergoing treatment at the hospital for her injuries. 

The rescue operation in the area is underway. The buried items under the debris are being removed while the lookout for survivors in the incident is still ongoing. However, the authorities have failed to inform the reason for the landslide.

Earlier, 31 people lost their lives in the Malad wall collapse while 13 people were killed in Dongri building collapse incident amid heavy rainfall across Mumbai. Rather than taking responsibility for the incidents, the administration started playing the blame-game.
