The Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank has come up with yet another relief for its depositors. In case of medical or educational emergency, PMC Bank depositors can now withdraw ₹50,000 from the bank along with the previous limit i.e. ₹40,000.

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Maharashtra Vice President Kirit Somaiya announced this on his official twitter handle which stated:
#PMCBank now ₹50,000 withdrawal (in addition to ₹40,000) allowed for medical/education urgency. needy person has to apply to their branch

Notably, people have been protesting against the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) due to the PMC Bank crisis and five deaths have been caused due to the same. One of the deaths was caused as the depositor did not have the required amount for his bypass surgery.
