RailTel had taken the lead to provide free Wi-Fi at Railway Stations in Mumbai and roped in Google as the technology partner for setting up fast Wi-Fi network initially covering 400 stations across the country for providing fast Wi-Fi to millions of passengers every day.

RailTel will soon be launching free WiFi services at over 30 stations in Mumbai. The stations include Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Kanjurmarg, Dockyard Road, Bhandup, Cotton Green, Nahur, Sewri, Diva, Kings Circle, Thakurli, GTB Nagar, Shahad, Chunabhatti, Ambivali, Tilak Nagar, Titwala, Govandi and Mankhurd in Central Railways. 

In the Western Line, the WiFi will now be installed at Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim Santacruz, Vile Parle, Jogeshwari and Ram Mandir.
