Rescued horses recuperating at BSCPA

SHARES

Parel- Horse carts are not permitted to ply on Marine Drive. Yet they are seen on the streets. PETA and Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) have rescued three horses who were mercilessly beaten by their owners. PETA also informed that these horse cart drivers don’t hold license. These horses were rescued in bad conditions and one of the horses do not have horseshoe and have suffered injuries. “Horses rely on their legs and if their legs hurt then they suffer problems. Along with this, cold shoeing also affects legs. We have kept them under observation and have given antibiotics. We will inform about the same to Marine Drive police station who will decide about the horses,” said J C Khanna, President, BSCPA.
