Fort - BMC will soon be restoring the landmark Cooperage Band Stand garden.The heritage garden will be restored to its original shape.The wooden structure, which has decayed and deteriorated over the years, will be restored. The Mangalore tiles on the roof of the structure will be replaced with metal sheets. The lighting around it will also be improved so that it can host cultural events. Standing Committee's Chairman Yasodhar Phanse told,"The bandstand will be restored likewise before. All the ancient items will be restored and conserved. Jirnodhar conservater will support the corporation in restoring the heritage sites and structures.
