After Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) locked the press room in its premises, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leaders on Thursday lost their calm and created ruckus all over. MNS was to hold a press conference at the press room.
MNS spokesperson Sandeep Deshpande directly accused Shiv Sena behind this incident. However, after the chaos, Public Relations (PR) Department allowed MNS to conduct a press conference.
MNS has been opposing the proposal to construct a bungalow for the Mayor in place of Shivaji Park Gymkhana. MNS is of the view that the area around Shivaji park and other gardens shall remain for the commoners. MNS accused that Shiv Sena is trying to grab the land.

MNS wanted to highlight the issue in the media, however, the venue for the press conference was locked. After this, MNS leaders including Deshpande confronted PR Department official Vijay Khabale and created chaos in his office.
However, the PR Department issued a statement saying that they were not informed about the press conference while Deshpande says otherwise. The MNS spokesperson accused Shiv Sena of the same and said that this was done on their behest.
The press conference room was locked by the Public Relations Department on the orders of Standing Committee Chairman Yashwant Jadhav,” Deshpande said.
