Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj memorial statue is again in the news. The government is trying hard to mark Chatrapati Shivaji memorial as a massive monument among the wonders of the world.
Shiv Smarak Committee, President Vinayak Mete has written a letter to the tourism minister stating that the height of the Shivaji memorial should be increased to 210 meters from 192 meters.
Mumbai Bole To asked Mumbaikars that is there really a need for such a huge Shivaji memorial because there are many forts in bad shape and no one is worried about it and now again crores will be spent for a new memorial. Mumbaikars voiced their opinion on the same.
