Mumbai's Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) has made Right to Information (RTI) accessible online, in order make it easy for the citizen. As per this development, citizens can place an RTI request in SRA. As directed by the officials, the request will be taken on a new software update 'Net Creative Mind' and the development of which will be completed by June 15. The new software is expected reduce the work of the citizens who are willing to apply for RTI. It is said that every day, about 25 to 30 people place an RTI in SRA.

Currently, the process is said to be very tedious as the citizens have to reach SRA office and fill the RTI form. After which, they need to submit the completed the form to the SRA Public Information Officer. But once the software is updated on the SRA website, citizens wouldn’t need to come to the office to apply for RTI and can make use of online service.

Simultaneously, SRA is also working on many web portals to create a system for tracking projects online and its status.
