Thane: Deadline for Maratha community survey extended till February 2

The survey commissioned by the Maharashtra government to assess the "backwardness" of the Maratha community has been prolonged until February 2, 2024.

According to this, the survey of citizens of Maratha community and open community in all rural urban areas of the state began from January 23, 2024 and now this survey has been extended till February 2, 2024.

The said survey is done through the government system. It is being done through a software application provided by the State Backward Classes Commission.

According to this, a survey of the Maratha community and open category citizens in the Thane Municipal Corporation area is being conducted through the Municipal Corporation and 250 supervisors and about 4000 enumerators have been appointed.

Also, the Assistant Commissioner from the respective ward office is working as the Ward Level Nodal Officer and the Office Superintendent is working as the Assistant Ward Level Nodal Officer. The survey work is being done under him at ward level.

The enumerator appointed by the Municipal Corporation on behalf of the Government is doing the enumeration of all the families in the Thane Municipal Corporation area as per the instructions of the Backward Classes Commission. In order to conduct a survey of the citizens of the entire city, this work has been extended till February 2 and Thanekar Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has appealed to the citizens of Thanekar to respond to the survey.

A helpline facility (8657887101) has been made available for the citizens through the Municipal Corporation for the said survey and through this facility the citizens can report any suggestions regarding the survey.
