Traffic jams in the city have become routine. The traffic police has not been able to make a permanent solution to this in the last several years. Due to insufficient manpower, the police have asked the municipality to seek a solution to the traffic jam. The municipal administration had not given these wardens to the police due to the difference in the wage rates of the wardens. The Municipal Commissioner has demanded 30 wardens from the Mumbai Security Guard Board to make the city free from the problem. However, Panvelkar will have to face traffic congestion for a few more days.

Citizens are frustrated due to traffic congestion in Panvel city. There is a permanent traffic jam in the area of Postal Naka, Shani Mandir, Mirchi Galli. Despite the appointment of traffic police, the police are not present. The problem is compounded by the city's narrow roads and rampant drivers and lack of parking space. Even the municipality has not planned for the parking lot as per the demand due to the price of land in Panvel city. For the first time since the establishment of the municipality, the municipality has appointed a deputy commissioner for the independent transport department. Since every family has one vehicle, there is no space to park the vehicle under the building, so the vehicles are parked on the roadside. Therefore, half of the narrow road is being used by parking vehicles.

Three-seater rickshaw drivers who stop by the road keep pots of flower trees on the road to prevent anyone from stopping at their roadside stop. Also, the shopkeepers on the roadside also keep tree trunks to prevent other vehicles from standing in front of the shop. Panvel Koliwada women fish sellers are defying the order of the traffic police, so the traffic jam in this area continues. The police have a question as to what to do about it. After Shiv Sena's metropolitan chief Prathamesh Soman gave a statement to Navi Mumbai Traffic Department Deputy Commissioner of Police Tirupati Kakade two days ago, he visited Panvel to learn about the traffic system here.

Citizens from the rural areas of the taluka come to Panvel city for shopping during the month of Shravan and Ganeshotsav. It is necessary to plan a huge parking lot next to the market to control the crowd at this time. Panvel Municipality had taken a resolution to appoint a warden for traffic regulation in the general meeting held earlier. But due to the lack of clarity about the expenditure on the salary of this warden, it could not be implemented.
