According to the latest reports, civic wards that entail H West (Bandra) and (K West) Andheri have been reporting the highest growth rate of COVID-19 positive cases.
Based on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) COVID-19 dashboard, H West ward that includes Bandra, Khar and Santacruz, as well as, K West ward that includes Andheri West and Vile Parle have the foremost growth rate of coronavirus positive cases at 1.71 per cent and 1.67 per cent respectively.
It has been reported that this is over the average growth rate of Mumbai that is at 1.22 per cent. However, civic officials have claimed that there is no need to panic given the high growth rate of positive cases. Since most cases are mild amongst those residing in buildings who choose to undertake home quarantine.
The civic official added that they prefer sanitization of their flat and nearby area also be done post the completion of their quarantine, remarked accounts.
Additionally, in the K West ward, a similar situation persists. On the other hand, narratives have cited that many have tested positive prior to taking national and international flights.
The civic body recently issued guidelines to monitor home testing, in cognizance of this, patients who are tested utilizing the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or home test kits report their results to the Indian Council of Medical Research by the respective laboratory or person through the mobile application.
