After Himalaya Bridge collapse at CSMT earlier this year, there were several audits conducted at many bridges in Mumbai. Kemps Corner flyover in Breach Candy and Princess Street bridge at Marine Lines which had been built in the year 1965 and 1967 respectively, will soon go under repair as an audit suggests that there are several structural defects in the bridges.

Kemps Corner bridge is always bustling with vehicles as it connects Kemps Corner to business hubs like Nariman Point, Colaba and Fort. Princess Street allow motorists from Chira Bazar, Kalbadevi and Princess Street to connect directly towards Girgaum Chowpatty.

Notably, Kemps Corner flyover is India's first flyover which was open to the public from 1965. The repair work will start post-monsoon and will affect a lot of traffic in these areas.
