The auspicious occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi will be celebrated across Maharashtra on July 10, 2022, and several people across the state will head towards Pandharpur to celebrate the festival. Keeping the high number of commuters in mind, the Maharashtra State Transport has planned to operate a total of 4,700 special services which will help people travel to Pandharpur with ease.
Information regarding the same was announced recently by Transport Minister and President of ST Corporation Anil Parab. Sharing more details, he added that the services will run from July 6 to July 14, 2022.
A total of 200 buses will be made available on July 8, and commuters from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur, and Amravati can benefit from the same. Moreover, Parab also appealed to the commuters to take advantage of these bus service for the occasion.
Meanwhile, the corporation has planned 1200 special buses for commuters to and from Aurangabad, 500 for Mumbai, 100 for Nagpur, 1200 for Pune, 1000 for Nashik and 700 for Amravati. Four temporary bus stands namely Chandrabhaga, Bhima, Pandurang (ITI College) and Vitthal Karkhana Yatra Station will be set up at Pandharpur for the convenience of the passengers.
Meanwhile, various amenities like drinking water, accessible toilets, computer reservation center, inquiry room, guidance boards will be arranged at the bus stand during the yatra.
