An internal inspection of the Malabar Hill Reservoir will be conducted on June 3 and 4 by a team from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. For this purpose, reservoir's compartments 1 and 2 of Malabar Hill Reservoir will be emptied in a phased manner. Owing to this, water supply will be affected in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)'s ward A,C,D,G south and north.
Therefore, 10 per cent reduction will remain in place at Colaba, Kalba Devi, Grant Road, Malabar Hill, Worli, Prabha Devi and Dadar areas from June 3-4.
IIT Roorkee has been assigned by the BMC to analyse the reports submitted by the expert committee constituted to review the functioning of the Malabar Hill Reservoir and suggest uninterrupted functioning of the reservoir, a BMC official said. Due to this work, water will be supplied at low pressure in some areas.

10-20% water reduction
There will be 20 per cent water reduction in Peddar Road under D Ward.
There will be 10 per cent water reduction in G North (Dadar) and G South (Worli).
Also, there will be 10 per cent water cut in A Ward (Colaba), C Ward (Kalbadevi, Mumbadevi), D Ward (Grant Road) on June 4.

All zones fed from MHR & Azad Maidan Reservoir: 10 per cent cut
D Ward:
Pedder Road: 20 per cent cut (1:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

All direct water supply: 10 per cent cut
