When everyone thought that the BMC had learned from July 26 deluge, yesterday's chaos proved us wrong. Despite the pumping stations, water was not thrown out as only 210 pumps were functional out of 310 available. These pumps were just being a nuisance as it created a lot of noise but proved to be ineffective.

Nana Chowk, Grant Road which is known as a low lying area had a pumping station but it was not functional which lead to water logging. However, due to Cleveland and Love Grove pumping stations, water logging issues are under control. Still, the BMC installed pumping stations for such incidents.
