The water reservoir located in section number 37, close to Pushpa Park Subway in Dindoshi Malad, is in a state of complete ruin. For the past five to six years, this water reserve has been in the same state. It was five years back when this reservoir was redeveloped by Maharashtra Redevelopment Corporation, but since then, it has been suffering civic neglect.
Moreover, since it is located next to a rickshaw stand, a lot of rickshaw drivers use this reservoir as a resting spot. On one hand, the local residents’ union Sairam Vichardhara Foundation, Pandav Bits Mitra Mandal and Navnirman Sangharsh Group have sent applications to BMC for its repair a number of times. On the other hand, Sangeeta Hasnale the Assistant Commissioner for the Northern Municipal Corporation states that this reservoir would be repaired only after a meticulous inspection is conducted.
