According to a latest development, the water supply of Kalyan (East) and (West) will be cut off from 9 am to 9 pm on Tuesday, June 28.

This water cut is owing to maintenance and repair work, which will be undertaken by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), on the power plant supplying power to Mohan Udhanchan Kendra on the banks of Ulhas river.

This work will continue until 9 pm. During this period the water lifting, purification process will be closed. Therefore, residents should store enough water, appealed Executive Engineer of Water Supply Department Pramod More.

Explaining further he shared, raw water is taken from Ulhas river near Mohan Udhanchan Kendra and processed. This water is sent from Mohane to the water purification center at Barave. From there it is distributed in Kalyan East and West areas.
