Dadar- One of the busiest railway stations in the city is also home to numerous vegetable vendors who ply the veggies below Dadar’s Keshavsut flyover.
The BMC however does not view them as kindly and has shut down four shop units which were causing a problem to the residents and pedestrians. The traffic is impeded as well as garbage piles up, civic officials say. While the shop owners say they were told that the shops were being shut down for renovations, it has been over four months, but nothing has been done yet. “These shops are closed down since Ganpati festival and we were told that it will be renovated but it is still pending,” said Bandi Gupta, veggie seller. Another shop seller Raghuvendra Sharma said that corporators who are eyeing BMC elections, are least bothered about people.
